Steel Machine Operator | $33ph | Day Shift 5:00am – 1:30pm
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Steel Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing team on a permanent day shift roster (5:00am – 1:30pm).
This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing or production experience who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a team that values safety, reliability and a strong work ethic. While steel or reinforcing experience is highly regarded, it is not essential as full training will be provided on specialised equipment.

A typical day may include
- Operating steel processing machinery including Nextra, TJK, Shearline, Robo, Manual Bender and Manual Cutter
- Loading and handling raw steel materials
- Moving materials and finished product using a forklift and overhead gantry crane
- Completing machine changeovers and equipment setup
- Conducting pre-start checks to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Meeting daily production targets in line with the production schedule
- Completing basic production reporting
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Following all site safety and OH&S procedures
What we’re looking for
- Current Forklift Licence (essential)
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, steel, fabrication or a similar environment highly regarded
- Gantry crane experience (highly regarded but not essential – training provided)
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- A positive attitude and team-first approach
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
